MitaPoint recoil stop - anti-slip for 11mm rail.
An anti-slip stop for 11mm dovetail riflescope rails that prevents the riflescope mount from moving backwards. Positioned behind the mount, it acts as a mechanical stop, so that rapid accelerations during shooting cannot move the mount on the rail. This is especially important for spring-piston air rifles, where the sudden, two-way recoil tends to cause the riflescope to slowly slide backwards. The rubber insert placed at the front of the stop cushions the shock transmitted to the mount and prevents damage from metal-to-metal contact. The attachment is made with top and side clamping screws that securely attach the adapter to the 11mm rail. The primary use of this type of stop is in high-recoil spring air rifles, where scope mount movement is a common problem. It is usually not needed for PCP or CO₂ air rifles, but can be useful for older 11mm rail guns that do not have a factory-fitted stop hole or stop.
Its compact size allows it to fit behind most two-piece scope mounts. Its low weight does not weigh down the gun, while effectively stabilizing the optic at long range.
