T-Eagle Stellar ST 4-16x44 FFP 1/10 MIL – Precision MIL-system optics for sport shooters and hunters

The T-Eagle Optics Stellar series represents the manufacturer's top-tier line, designed for those who refuse to compromise on reliability and optical performance. The ST 4-16x44 FFP 1/10 MIL variant shares the same optical construction as its MOA sibling but is equipped with a MIL (MRAD) based click system and reticle – aimed at those who think and work in the metric measurement system.

MIL or MOA – why does the choice matter?

The MIL (milliradian) system is widely used in military and competitive shooting worldwide. One of its greatest advantages is that it is metric based: 1 MIL equals exactly 10cm at 100 metres, enabling simple mental arithmetic for range estimation and correction. The 1/10 MIL click value means 1cm of adjustment per click at 100 metres – one of the finest and most intuitive adjustment increments in precision shooting.

For anyone working with ballistic calculators, shooting data cards or a spotter, the MIL system simplifies communication and corrections – particularly true in PRS and similar competitive disciplines.

First Focal Plane (FFP) reticle – why does it matter?

The most important practical advantage of the FFP design is that the reticle subtensions remain accurate at every magnification level. Unlike Second Focal Plane (SFP) scopes – where markings are only precise at a specific magnification – the FFP reticle can be used continuously and reliably for range estimation, wind correction and holdover, whether shooting at 4x or 16x.

The etched MIL grid reticle features detailed subtensions that allow target size estimation, quick wind correction readout and precise ballistic holdover application – all without taking your eye off the optic.

Optics and image quality

The 44mm objective lens provides sufficient light-gathering surface in moderate and lower light conditions. The multi-coated lenses improve light transmission and reduce unwanted reflections, resulting in a sharper, higher-contrast image. The 4–16x magnification range allows versatile use: the lower 4x limit enables fast target acquisition at closer ranges, while the upper 16x limit provides detailed imagery at medium shooting distances – typically up to 300–500m.

Exit pupil diameter is approximately 11mm at 4x and 2.75mm at 16x, with an eye relief of 100mm, allowing a comfortable viewing position across various shooting stances.

Turret system and adjustability

The scope features lockable (Turret Lock) click turrets that prevent accidental movement during transport or handling. The turret adjustment range is ±80 MOA, which expressed in metric units equals approximately ±28 MIL – providing ample room for zeroing and ballistic corrections even at longer shooting distances.

The 1/10 MIL click value equals 1cm of movement per click at 100 metres. This fine increment allows very precise fine-tuning, while the metric logic of the MIL system makes it easy to calculate the required corrections quickly during a shooting session.

Parallax and dioptre adjustment

The side-mounted parallax adjustment dial (SF – Side Focus) is adjustable from 20 yards to infinity, covering the range from air rifle shooting through to longer-distance precision use. This design allows quick adjustment without taking your eye off the scope. The ±2 dioptre compensation allows shooters who wear glasses to fine-tune the ocular lens sharpness to their individual needs.

Mechanical design and durability

The housing is machined from a single-piece aluminium block, rated waterproof and shockproof. The 30mm tube diameter is compatible with a wide range of widely available mounts. The scope weighs 679g and measures 355mm in length, making it a compact option within its class. European distributors have spoken positively about the optical units produced at the Woji Optics factory, highlighting the surprisingly good glass quality relative to the price point.

Who is it recommended for?

The T-Eagle Stellar ST 4-16x44 FFP 1/10 MIL is primarily recommended for those who work in a MIL-based system and want a genuine FFP optic with lockable turrets and side parallax adjustment at an entry-to-mid-range price. It is an excellent choice for precision sport shooters (PRS, benchrest, FT air rifle) who work with ballistic calculators or a spotter and require the continuous accuracy of an FFP reticle. For hunters using smaller calibre rifles where ballistic hold lines are useful on a daily basis, it is also a strong alternative. In terms of value for money, it delivers outstanding performance for its class. For those unsure about choosing between MIL and MOA, it is worth noting that the same scope is also available with 1/4 MOA click value in our range.

What users say

Reviews and tests found online consistently highlight the Stellar series for its exceptional glass quality relative to its price point. A South African air rifle test video described the Stellar series as producing some of the best glass seen at this price level. A Hungarian YouTube test on a Tikka T1x .22LR rifle praised the turret accuracy and reticle clarity. Multiple users highlight that the Stellar series comes with accessories included (sunshade, throw lever, side wheel), which adds extra value at the given price. Some users note the absence of illumination (the ST model has no illumination) as a limitation for low-light or after-dark hunting – the STS variant addresses this.
